Spangle starts Executive Director Duties Monday, October 13th

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The Libertarian Party of Indiana has hired Chris Spangle to server as the organization's new Executive Director. Spangle, most recently the producer of Abdul in the Morning Show on Newstalk 1430 WXNT in Indianapolis, begins his new responsibilities October 10th.

“In the Libertarian Party I have found a principled organization that promotes both economic and personal freedom. We have a message that can resonate with all Americans and I look forward to strengthening our party,” he added.

Spangle is no stranger to the Indiana political scene. In addition to serving as producer of one of the state's top-rated morning talk shows, Chris was President of the IUPUI chapter of College Republicans while attending the university. He comes with practical experience having worked on a number of campaigns over the last several years.

“America is at a crucial moment. Our government is out of control. Republican and Democrat administrations have irresponsibly led America to the brink of financial ruin and have lost the trust of the American people,” noted Spangle upon joining the Libertarian Party earlier in 2008.

Born in Indiana, Chris is a lifelong resident of Plainfield, just west of Indianapolis. He attended IUPUI, majoring in History.

Todd Singer, Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Indiana, praised Spangle by saying, “Chris brings solid campaign experience from the political work he did while at IUPUI, and unique insights from his time on Abdul in the Morning. His youth, enthusiasm and media experience will be integral to our outreach operations.”
