019 Doug Masson on civil liberties and difficulties he sees for the Libertarian party in winning converts from the Left.
Some left-libertarians, like Lafayette’s Doug Masson, have drifted from the Libertarian Party to the Democrats, not because they fully agree with that party, but often because they see the Republican Party as a greater threat to things held dear by those on the Left, such as civil liberties- and the Libertarian Party ineffectual.

018 Sean Shepard on the ‘Revolt at the Statehouse’ event and biased media coverage
On Wednesday, March 25, a diverse, multi-partisan group of people gathered at the Indiana Statehouse to send a general message of disaffection to lawmakers.
One media outlet, WISH-TV 8 of Indianapolis, chose to ridicule the participants with its’ coverage, showing only the most unflattering clips to portray as representative of the entire event.

016 Chris Ward and the Marion County pub crawl in support of tavern owners
Chris Ward ran for Lawrence Mayor in 2007. When he isn’t a candidate for office, he is still an activist for liberty, working to defend the rights of business owners in the industry he works in- the hospitality industry.
As Marion County considers a more stringent ban on smoking than the State of Indiana is poised to inflict on business owners, Chris decided to show his support for business owners by organizing a pub crawl, patronizing their businesses on an evening-long event.
