"Kole Hard Facts" Blog Closing Shop

FISHERS, IN -- After five years of posting some of Indiana's finest libertarian insights, Mike Kole has announced his intention of taking his blog, Kole Hard Facts, offline.

Undoubtedly the decision by Kole, the 2006 LPIN candidate for Secretary of State and Dr. Barbara Bourland Light of Liberty Award winner, came after much deliberation. Weighing the time taken to blog and the perceived impact of the posts played an important part in that decision.

Kole writes:

Because I believe in markets, it's impossible to ignore the pointlessness of carrying on with the ol' Kole Hard Facts. My message is freedom, and nobody's buying. What's worse is that the viewer doesn't even have to buy. And yet, 30 hits a day? Forget it. (Read the remainder of the entry here.)

Crossover Voters Risk Breaking Laws?

FISHERS, IN -- Ron Paul supporters beware. Obamaniacs tread lightly.

Voters turning out in droves to Indiana's once-in-a-long-long-while meaningful primary election could be breaking the law by casting a vote tomorrow.

Indiana law clearly states who is an eligible primary voter.

IC 3-10-1-6 Eligible voters

Sec. 6. A voter may vote at a primary election:
(1) if the voter, at the last general election, voted for a majority of the regular nominees of the political party holding the primary election; or
(2) if the voter did not vote at the last general election, but intends to vote at the next general election for a majority of the regular nominees of the political party holding the primary election;as long as the voter was registered as a voter at the last general election or has registered since then.
As added by P.L.5-1986, SEC.6.
