LNC Monday Message: My New Year's Resolutions
Submitted by lpin_ed on Mon, 01/04/2010 - 12:36 |Dear Friend of Liberty,
I resolve to persevere in the struggle for freedom that many Americans have undertaken tirelessly, and in some cases have given their lives for.
I resolve to vote for Libertarian candidates whenever I can.
I resolve to keep reminding people that every vote for a Libertarian makes a difference.
I resolve to thank Libertarians who amplify their voice for liberty by running for office.
I resolve to congratulate Libertarian candidates who win their races, and thank Libertarian candidates who did not win but helped to spread the Libertarian message and to lay the groundwork for future Libertarian wins.
I resolve to thank Libertarian volunteers who help the Libertarian Party and our candidates in whatever ways they can.
Lutts: Long-Term Trends of our Political Parties, Political Parties Do Not Last Forever. Change Happens.

One of the dangers of life in our hyper-connected world, where electronic technologies keep us apprised of the latest developments all over the world, is that we lose a sense of perspective.
We don’t take time to reflect, and to put into context the events of the moment.
We grow to prize immediacy but in the process we lose our sense of proportion.
What does it matter that we can learn of events nearly instantaneously (from the riots in Iran and China to the passing of Michael Jackson) if we do not take the time to evaluate them from a longer-term perspective?
Libertarian Party's Davis Offers Differences with Constitution Party
Submitted by lpin on Tue, 09/23/2008 - 08:38 |On the heels of Ron Paul's disappointing abandonment of principled leadership, we offer a repost of the LP and CP comparisons first posted by Andrew Davis on the national LP website. Paul, the man that just days ago stood alongside Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney, has now endorsed the statist and bigoted Constitution Party candidate, Chuck Baldwin. So much for principles.
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- We often get emails at Libertarian Party headquarters asking what exactly are the differences between the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party. The confusion is understandable, especially for party outsiders who are just beginning to look at either as a new political home.
Where Does Your Candidate Stand?

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Do you know where your candidate stands on the important issues in this upcoming election? Did you know that John McCain stands for an expensive cap and trade program in his war against global warming? Did you know that Barack Obama wants huge tax increases on oil companies, which will in turn be passed on to the consumer?
